OPPORTUNITY: A Fortune 1000 wholesale automobile auto auction company with multiple business units in the US needed a complete enterprise solution that handled Accounting, Sales and Inventory to support increased market share. In addition the application needed to be integrated with GMAC, Ford Motor Credit, Bank One and Chase

SOLUTION: Astra Digital partnered with client and designed, developed and implemented a turnkey system called Fast Lane, successfully transitioning all of the separate business units to the newly designed system, with on-site client user training, custom reports training for managers and data base conversion

RESULT: Implementation of Fast Lane has enabled Client to improve efficiency and expand locations to gain market share. Separate business units have same system, affording the client greater flexibility to meet fluctuating market demand.

Case Study II: Internet Development

OPPORTUNITY: A local company provides transportation to 100,000 Medicaid recipients to Medical facilities in Indiana under contract with MHS/Centene and the state of Indiana and needed an Internet based system to schedule and manage runs as well as comply with HIPPA requirements.

SOLUTION: Astra Digital built an Internet based system including scheduling, trip manifests, managing, Claims posting and reporting. Astra Digital added a claims processing system for emergency transportations runs including claim adjudication, payment and denial, accounts payable, shadow claim posting and reporting.

RESULT: The transportation client improved their efficiency and expanded markets served.

Astra Case Study III: Web Portal

OPPORTUNITY: Electric utility provides retail electric service to more than 460,000 residential, commercial and industrial customers in Indiana. This utility supplies its customers with some of the lowest-cost, most reliable power in the country, but needed to streamline their job application process.

SOLUTION: Astra Digital built an Internet based job applicant tracking system. Key business functions include open position management, applicant screening, online resume submission, and reporting.

RESULT: More qualified applicants have easy access to job postings. Many hours saved by the HR Dept. in assessing and reporting resumes.

Astra Case Study IV: GPS/Mobile Application

OPPORTUNITY: A start-up company, dedicated to the safety of children, had an idea for an application using cell phones with GPS...

SOLUTION: Astra Digital used GISMoE™ service to provide a custom application that interfaces with the GPS enabled cell phones, allowing parents to track their own children in real time and reporting via the Internet. Application includes parental controls via internet for telephone directory, geo-fencing and programmable alerts, if their child is not where she/he is supposed to be.

RESULT: This application offers parents peace of mind with affordable access to information on the location of their children who carry this customized cell phone
